Course Introduction
Facial hair is a natural part of being human, but as women age, their hormones can make the hair growth on the face more prolific, causing embarrassment and unhappiness.
Current beauty expectations also require low facial hair, thus for many a person it becomes a regular necessity to remove it. Waxing facial hairs is an inexpensive and effective way to remove these hairs and most clients are very happy with the results, especially if they have had to rely on shaving or tweezing previously.
You should know the medications that your client is taking as these may have a bearing on the result of the treatment, especially if the client has acne, or suffers from diseases like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Waxing acne-prone areas or parts of the face or chin that have broken out can cause discomfort and scarring.
Other facial treatments like a deep cleanse, facial or massage should never be carried out at the same time, as you could upset and irritate the skin. For most people, it’s often not as painful as might be imagined, especially if only small areas of skin are waxed at a time, and the skin is soothed afterwards.
