Description
Course Introduction
A facial is a family of skin care treatments for the face, including steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams and lotions, facial masks, peels, and massage. They are normally performed in beauty salons, but are also a common spa treatment. They are used for general skin health as well as for specific skin conditions.
The mainstay of the facial procedure is the cleansing routine, but the mask is the ‘engine’ of the facial. There are many different types of masks geared to different skin types (e.g., oily or dry), and the effects of a facial mask treatment include revitalizing, healing, or refreshing; and, may yield temporary or long-term benefits – depending on environmental, dietary, and other skincare factors.
Each client has different skincare goals or needs, and some facial masks are not suited to frequent use due to the intensity of the ingredients, and the sensitivity of the skin.
There are also many different kinds of electrical equipment that can be used for different facials, and the list grows each year as new inventions hit the market. Most distributors include training when you purchase the machines.
There are many types of facial products with most brands offering complimentary training once an opening order is received. This course however, gives a comprehensive procedure for an Express, Standard and Deluxe facial treatment, allowing you the choice of product brand to use and incorporate into the routine.
